Oaks Kidz – Growing in Faith, Growing Together
At Oaks Community Church, we’re passionate about creating a space where young people can discover and experience God in a way that’s engaging, age-appropriate, and fun!
During our Sunday morning service, we run Oaks Kidz, a lively and creative programme for the younger members of our congregation. Our aim is to help children connect with God through activities that are both informative and enjoyable
—because we believe learning should be fun!
What to Expect
Our time together starts with praise and worship, where the whole church family joins in—expect energetic songs to get everyone moving! After that, children head off to their age-group sessions, where they enjoy a mix of:
- Bible stories
- Crafts and games that bring the stories to life
- Creative prayer to help them reflect and connect with God
A Safe and Caring Environment
Children are incredibly precious to us. That’s why we operate a ‘Safe From Harm’ policy, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment where every child is protected and valued.
Our Vision
We want every child to:
- Have a great time
- Build lasting friendships
- Grow in their relationship with God from an early age
Gems (Crèche)
For little ones up to 30 months, we provide a manned crèche during the service. Parents are welcome to use this space to enjoy a short break and engage fully in the service, knowing their children are well cared for.
Meet Kate
Our dedicated Children’s Worker, Kate Warner, leads Oaks Kidz with passion and experience. She’s married to Mark, and together they have five children.
Kate joined our team in June 2025, bringing with her decades of experience working with young people in both church and school settings, as well as leading successful youth choirs. She is also a talented violinist with the Aylesbury Orchestra.
Kate has a deep heart for children and young people, and she longs to see them encounter God in a real and life-changing way.
