During the morning service we run Oaks Kidz for the younger members of our congregation. The programme for our young people is lively and full of different creative ideas for them to learn about God in a way that is relevant to them. We believe that learning for young people should be fun as well as informative.
A typical morning begins with a time of praise and worship all together, usually involving energetic actions! We then go to our own age-group sessions, where we use material that combines a bible story, a craft activity and /or game that relates to the story, and a creative prayer time.
The young people in our care are precious to us and for this reason we operate a ‘Safe From Harm’ policy that helps ensure they are protected while in our care.
Our vision for the children is that they would have a great time, make friends, and get to know and experience God from an early age
Gems (Crèche)
During the service there is a manned crèche for those up to 30 months which parents can use if they so wish, giving them a brief break and an opportunity to enjoy the service.
Jen Holcombe is our Children's worker, she is married to Ben with two children (Noah and Naomi). They have lived in Aylesbury since 2015 and previously lived in Cornwall. They have a passion to see the young people in church experience God in a meaningful way, and have both worked with children, youth and students since the age of 15. They love God, being outdoors, pizza and watching films.
