Small Groups

At Oaks we believe that small groups are an important ingredient of Church life and we therefore provide and support various small groups

We call our small groups Core Groups and Life Groups

Core Groups are our regular weekly bible study groups

The function of these groups are:

  • to provide a structure and environment for closer fellowship and encouragement of one another

  • for worship, prayer and the use of spiritual gifts

  • for pastoral care and discipleship

  • for providing an introduction to the church for friends looking into the Christian faith

Core groups are specially designed to lead you into a deeper relationship with Jesus by deepening your understanding of the bible, strengthening your understanding of our faith, challenging you to live a victorious life, and inviting you to explore your part in God’s global mission.

Life Groups run alongside Core Groups and are basically the church family doing life together. Whether that be playing games, listening to music, doing photography, seeking God, the list is endless. We encourage people to do what they already enjoy doing and then just to do it together.

Life Groups have one purpose: to bring people together.

We believe God created us to live in relationship with others and that life is better in community

Connection is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why Life Groups exist—to make these life changing connections relevant and accessible to you.

Life Groups can meet at all different times, days, and locations and there are endless variations of what these groups can do
